Create a venue
The address is geocoded. New rooms start with a 25 m boundary — walk it inside the actual venue before launch.
Use this when the address lands on the street. In Google Maps, click the building and copy its coordinates.
Venue
Launch readiness
Configuration only. It cannot tell you whether the room works on site.
Location and name
The radius decides who the app will let in. Validate it standing inside the venue.
The label guests see. Changing it does not move the venue.
Where the pin and the radius centre sit. It must be on the building, not the street: in Google Maps, click the building and copy its coordinates.
Stored in meters. The server accepts 5 m to 2000 m.
Decides what visitors see: the tab name (Menu, Program, Class…), the help button and post types.
The room remains temporary; this describes what guests are joining.
Shown on the place's tile and at the top of its tab while it's on (between the start and end below).
Guest experience
Edits are a private draft until you publish them. Publishing pushes to every phone in the room.
Shown at the top of the room and on the venue card.
PNG or JPEG, up to 2 MB and 2400 px per side.
Published history
Plan
Commercial state. Guests never see this; the sponsored-premium flag is derived from it.
Plan is saved with the draft and applied when you publish.
Posts
What visitors see in this place's own tab. They can open posts while inside, and not before or after.
Add a document
PDF, PNG or JPEG, up to 10 MB.
Students join through a class
This building has Classes on Home on. Students enter a class with the code the instructor shows when class starts, so the building has no access code of its own. Manage it under Campus.
Who can get in
Two independent gates. A public room with no code is the default and needs nothing here. A room with a code still shows on the map; guests are asked for the code when they tap Enter.
Shown in the console only, so you can tell one event's code from another.
Copy this now. Only a hash is stored, so it cannot be shown again — losing it means issuing a new one.
Staff
Staff answer guest messages at the staff console. They cannot reach this console.
| Name | Role | Status | UID | Actions |
|---|
Quick replies
Canned answers staff can drop into a conversation with one tap. Up to eight — past that, finding the right one costs more than typing it.
Instant answers
Questions guests answer themselves from Message staff, without waiting: the Wi-Fi password, the restroom code. Only guests inside the room can read them. The owner can edit the same list at the staff console.
Menu
What guests in the room can order from their phone, paying at the counter. Restaurants and cafes only. The owner and managers edit the same menu at the staff console, and anyone on the team can mark an item sold out there.
Order history
Every app order, month by month, for the owner's books. No guest names are kept; records last 90 days.
Add or update someone
Give either a Firebase UID or the email they sign in with. For staff who do not use Google, enter a temporary password and confirmation; leave it blank only for a Google sign-in invitation.
Owners and managers can change venue-wide message settings in the staff console.
Required for a non-Google sign-in. Creates an account or resets an existing password; it is never stored in venue data.
Daily activity
Counters this venue writes as guests come and go.

Classes
Today's classes, courses, buildings and instructors.
Today
Open a class to start it, show its code, ask questions, take attendance and see results.
Running class from your phone? Open Teach and add it to your home screen.
How a class runs
- Classes on Home is on for the building (admins, under Buildings & instructors).
- The course has a schedule. Its classes list under the building on students' Home screen from two hours before.
- Start class shows a six-character code. Students enter it, take a selfie and type their name.
- While class runs: ask a question and watch answers arrive, take attendance with a four-digit code, or open a quiz. Everything shows in the class view, with names for attendance and quizzes.
- End class sends everyone Home. The class stays in the course's Classes list with its results and a CSV download for the retention period.
Courses
A course belongs to one building. Open it to set the schedule, see its classes and prepare quizzes.

Course
Schedule
Classes are created from this for today and tomorrow, and list on Home from two hours before they start.
Shown as a placeholder when students type their name. It is never filled in for them.
Classes
Upcoming classes and past classes with their results.

Add an extra class
A review session or a make-up class outside the schedule. It lists on Home like any other class.
Quizzes
Prepare a quiz here, then open it during class. Answers carry each student's name; the answer key never reaches phones.
Buildings
Campus places. With Classes on Home on, students see the building's classes and join a class, not the building. Phones on Build 34 are asked to update in that building.

Instructors
Only active instructors can open the Campus portal. A Firebase email/password account can be created here for an invited instructor.

Legacy classroom (Build 34) — only for buildings with Classes on Home off. Removed once Build 34 phones are rare.
Build 34 sessions
Sessions in buildings without Classes on Home. Students join with the eight-character code.

Create a Build 34 session
Leave both times blank for a four-hour class. It must end within 24 hours.

Students see one button per option and can select one answer. Enter one option per line or separate options with commas.

Venue requests
Places people asked for from the app's empty map.
Only what was typed is kept: no account, device or location. Every request is deleted after 180 days, handled or not. Asks counts requests for the same place and town.

Audit trail and one-off maintenance jobs.
Background jobs
The room cleanup runs every 15 minutes and carries a six-hourly pass (photos, hours, deals, plans, orphans, audit retention). A job that stops is the failure nobody sees: rooms keep their last guest, selfies outlive their promise.
| Job | Last completed | State |

Guest accounts in the app
Whether the app offers guests an account and WASSAAA Plus at all. Off for the pilot: an account buys a guest nothing yet, and the sign-up screens are hidden rather than half-working. Anyone already signed in keeps their sign-out and delete controls.
Admin audit log
Every venue, staff, safety and support action, retained for review.
| When | Who | Action | Venue | Detail |

Private chat index migration
Run the dry run, read the counts, then apply. Capped so it cannot become a large accidental read.
Not run yet.
Anonymous Auth cleanup
Monthly maintenance only previews unlinked anonymous accounts inactive for 30 days. Active room leases, email, phone and provider-linked accounts are excluded.
No scan yet. Run a dry run before deletion.
